Steve Tate Art is the creation of Steve Tate; father, son, brother, uncle, artist, author, inventor and professional business man. As you can tell the list goes on and on. In the process of creating this website for his art I was stumped on where to start. How do I begin to put into a web site the information needed to attempt to explain this man so that others could begin to get a glimpse as to what Steve, the man,the artist is all about? I knew if I did not accomplish this, one would just skim through and view this as "just another artist web site" with impersonal photos of art.

      To Steve, Steve Tate Art is a process, a spiritual adventure. Each painting has been thought out long and hard. The painting may not always end up as Steve had intended, but as he explains, neither does life, but depending on what we create and how we view life, determines the outcome.  He is always in awe of the painting and its outcome. Even though it might not be something that he keeps to pass on to others he will still spend long periods of time looking at every square inch and be amazed as to where the painting took him. Steve does not create his art to be viewed from afar, but up close. He believes that viewing Steve Tate Art ten feet away and not getting up close and looking at every square inch is like looking at the moon and missing the constellations, the spider and missing the web, the universe and the twinkle of the individual stars.
